OPS Logistics Consultancy has launched a range of services to help businesses exit the recession stronger and better prepared for future supply chain challenges. The fixed-rate Health Check consultancy packages cover key areas of the supply chain, including outbound logistics, warehousing and stock management, to enable businesses to review their operation against precise requirements and analyse the effectiveness of existing in-house and third-party infrastructures.
Costing £1,200, the fixed-rate solutions are intended to avoid the spiralling costs often associated with high-level consultancy and achieve clear deliverables that are outlined up front. Each package will provide a high-level report analysing an operation and identifying specific options, improvement areas and potential savings.
In particular, the Outbound Logistics Health Check will identify areas of improvement such as capitalising on volume related discounts, exploring or coordinating alternative means of distribution and addressing sub-optimal quality of service. Meanwhile, the Warehouse Health Check will include a Critical Path Analysis looking at the entire materials handling process from order entry through to dispatch.
Dan Derry, Managing Director of OPS Logistics Consultancy commented:
Businesses have been keeping a tight grip on capital expenditure during the past few years, so many logistics operations will not be completely aligned with supply chain requirements or best-prepared to take advantage of growth opportunities moving forward. By examining a coordinated business requirement and benchmarking current options it will enable companies to make quantitative intelligent and informed decisions on the way forward.”
